I have recently gotten many different questions about people's searches getting redirected, and many people have asked me for help in fixing the issue. The basic issue is like this: you visit Google, enter a search and click the button, but instead of getting Google's search results, you get redirected to a third party site. The results from these redirected searches aren't of the same relevance and quality that you have come to expect from Google, and most of them are for junk sites, or at least for sites that have a more commercial focus.

The main cause of this is what is known as the Google Redirect Virus, and there are several ways to fix it, but the easiest method I have found is available here.
